Our entire global team looks forward to our new horizons ahead!
The Next Generation of Knoll Packaging
The future of Knoll Packaging is here, as Knoll is reshaping the definition of sustainability in luxury packaging by eliminating plastics, committing to recyclability and new global production capabilities in Europe and Asia.
Knoll Packaging announced they will open a fully owned and operated factory in the Philippines in January 2023. The custom-built facility features a highly sustainable design, will maintain Knoll’s standard for quality, and position us for expansion.
The highly sustainably designed factory is 8,000 sq meters with full rooftop solar array, rainwater collection for re-use, and a low Carbon Footprint. Knoll will also maintain the highest level of social accountability, employee engagement, and ethics in Asia. The factory is in a Duty-Free trade zone which is ‘0’ Vat for import and exports. The location is highly industrialized with neighboring facilities owned by Epson, Dyson, Honda and many others, and is close to Manila Port. The Philippines factory will also feature Knoll Packaging’s proprietary custom-built machinery designed for cost efficiency and continued high quality.
Knoll announced a strategic commercial partnership with Albertini Packaging Group (APG) that brings Knoll’s quality production from Asia to Europe. Knoll developed proprietary machinery that is automated with technical upgrades that have never been achieved before in Europe. Through the partnership with APG, Knoll will be able to achieve its regionalization goals, and completely change the quality of packaging available to be manufactured in Europe. The first European-produced coffrets are currently in production and will launch in 2023.
Knoll also began offering European production of molded pulp to its customers this year. The material is certified recyclable and biodegradable, can also be molded, cut to order and color matched. Through this sustainable innovation, Knoll is on track to eliminate 200 metric tons of plastic from its supply chain by summer 2023.
Leadership in Sustainability
We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’re partnering with One Tree Planted to certify our 2022 Carbon Offset. Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well-being, and create jobs for social impact. We’re honored to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model.
This year Knoll launched Knoll Gives Back Day which brought our teams out of their offices and into their local communities. Each office volunteered with a local organization to clean up their beaches and local trails, volunteer with underserved communities and assist at a local food pantry.
Each year, Knoll Packaging also supports local organizations that align with our values and mission to protect our people and planet. Learn more about these incredible charities.

ALODF – American Living Organ Donor Fund’s primary mission is to help living organ donors overcome the financial burdens associated with organ donation, but also provide assistance in whatever way we can to help donors make informed and safe decisions.
童sen同戲 (Senmily) provides supporting services to children aged 3-12 with special educational needs and their families to build an inclusive community. The Future of Packaging Looks Bright
Advent calendars continue to be some of the most technically challenging and rewarding projects at Knoll. This year, we launched an extraordinary array of shapes and sizes, including one that even spins like a carousel!
‘Tis the Season for Knoll Ecoform®
Over the last 5 years, Knoll has implemented Knoll Ecoform® molded pulp to remove plastics from its supply chain and introduced 100% molded pulp packaging solutions. It has become one of the most in-demand materials due to its sustainability benefits and endless creative executions. In 2022, Knoll began offering European production of pulp to its customers. Through this sustainable innovation, Knoll is on track to eliminate 200 metric tons of plastic from its supply chain by summer 2023.
Knoll Ecoform® is a plant material made from bamboo, wood and sugar cane fibers, which can be used to create unique shapes, as an alternative to thermoformed plastic platforms, or as a 100% pulp packaging solution. The material is recyclable and biodegradable. It can also be molded, cut to order and color matched.
